Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, this working farm produces olive oil, wine, vegetables and wheat. With its own restaurant and a children's zoo, it is a 10-minute drive from Sorano. Local ricotta cheese and honey feature at breakfast, along with fruit pies, cakes and jams. The Aia del Tufo restaurant opens on request, serving Tuscan specialties prepared from the farm's own produce. Rooms have hand-crafted furniture and tiled floors. Each overlooks the garden and includes a private bathroom with toiletries. Some have Etruscan-style frescoes on the walls. Bio Agriturismo Aia del Tufo is home to goats, ducks, donkeys and rabbits. The farm runs courses for children on how cheese is made, how wheat becomes bread and how vegetables are grown. The farm is a 20-minute drive from the Etruscan towns of Pitigliano and Sovana.
